Effective Teaching and Strategies

Teachers’ teaching practices, beliefs and attitudes are crucial in children’s learning process. Teachers need to adjust their thinking about the nature of teaching; the classroom environment should mirror the teacher’s practices that would be the central to learning environment  (Philip Gurney, 2007, p.91).

In the video, it shows that interactions is the main key for students to learn and through interaction children could express themselves and learn better in a stress free condition. In the creation of an effective teaching environment, I suggest that it is the interaction that provides a good foundation of good teaching (Philip Gurney, 2007, p.91).

If teaching is about sharing knowledge, therefore, effective teaching means sharing knowledge effectively. Both teachers and learners have equal shares of learning by virtue of the feedback with one another. Effective teachers engage students to participate in planned activities. By way of interactions, teachers will understand what their students’ needs are therefore guide them in achieving the goals. By interaction, teachers enjoy the teaching process when they share the knowledge, teachers and students became learners, they explore the lesson together and it leads towards an effective classroom. When students see and feel the passion of the teacher in her sharing, students become spontaneous learners (Philip Gurney, 2007, p.92).
