Defining Effective Teaching

Introduction

The teaching profession is considered to be a noble and socially reputable profession.  However, like any other profession, there will tend to be those who excel in it and those who average it out. Those who excel in teaching and those who advocate on excellence in teaching would be able to sum up and summarized some good practices, good traits and qualities of being a good teacher. In the real world, a good teacher is none other than someone who can effectively deliver his or her lessons and in making learning interesting to students

Defining Effective Teaching

  •  Before we look into the criteria of effective teaching for a teacher, it makes sense to understand firstly what developmental objectives one wish to achieve on her students. The criteria by which all effective teaching is measured can actually be the yardstick for measuring student success in the respective field being taught by the teacher either academic or non-academic and not only academically but also in behavior modification and character building.
  •  A teacher can be said to be effective if she successfully carried or achieved the necessary requirement to accomplish something significant to her students.
