ReplyDelete2. Yes, differentiation is crucial to learning. It ensure every child receives maximum learning (especially in the case of special educational needs students). Where there is and differentiation, children who are at a higher/ lower learning level either become bored/ disruptive of feel confused/ lost/ low self- esteem.

Delete3. Differentiation: learning disability, higher learning ability. Mixed grouping or grouping according to high/moderate/low learning ability ( enables teacher to attend to a group effectively and conduct the same activity).
ReplyDelete4. Yes, this enhances learning and provides children with the opportunity to learn group work skills. It is also more fun.
5.cons: disruptive and time consuming if things are disorderly and not well-planned, group conflict. pros: encourages teamwork, prepares children for the future (working with different types of personalities), children learn how to delegate responsibilities to each other and stay organised.
