Interactions...continue...

Interaction between teacher and child, child to peer are both crucial in children’s learning. Good interaction makes a child feels warmth and welcome. Teaching and learning obviously involve reciprocal and dynamic interaction between teachers and learners (Peter Westwood, 1996, p.68).

An effective teacher helps and encourages children to interact among themselves by leading a conversation with a topic where children feel familiar. For example, a teacher always can lead the children to share about how they spent their time with family members over the weekend when children return to school on Monday or after the holiday. By doing this, children not only feel that they are part of the class but also enhance their speech and language development.
